How Lunka handles your health data
The plain-language version. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Lunka never uses your health data for advertising or marketing, never sells it, and never shares it with data brokers. It exists so the app can show you your day.
What Lunka reads
With your permission, Lunka reads three things from Apple Health: steps, walking distance, and flights climbed. That is all. It cannot read anything else, because it never asks for anything else.
These become your step count, your daily goal progress, your streak, and the "walked today" dot your circle sees next to your name.
What Lunka writes
Nothing, unless you turn it on. If you switch on Write walks back to Health in Settings, a walk you finish is saved to Apple Health as a workout. With that setting off — and it is a normal setting you control — Lunka writes nothing to Health at all.
What your circle sees
Only whether you reached your goal today, your current streak, and the walks you choose to record. Never your raw Health data. Never your heart rate, weight, sleep, or anything else in Health — Lunka has no access to any of it.
Turning it off
You can revoke Lunka's access at any time in the iPhone Settings app, under Privacy & Security → Health → Lunka. The app keeps working; it just stops counting your steps automatically.
Lunka is not a medical device
It does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any condition, and nothing in it is medical advice. If you have a reason to be careful about activity, talk to a doctor.
